A career treating women: “I have been a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 13 years. I began my career in a small rural family medicine practice, but soon discovered my passion for women’s health. I worked with an OB/GYN for 12 years, specializing in women's health, particularly ages 40 and up.”

Compassionate listening, at last: “While caring for women in midlife, patients repeatedly came in reporting that their concerns had been dismissed or not taken seriously. A woman once told me that her male gynecologist had said that she felt tired, gained weight, and had low sex drive because she was over 40 and that was simply par for the course. This stuck with me because there is always something we can do. Women don’t have to accept these issues as normal; there are solutions.”

Patient centered collaboration: “My goal is to build a trusting relationship where patients feel heard, understood, and confident in our continuity of care. Together, we will build a treatment plan from the ground up that aligns with their concerns and goals.”
